Template for God/Goddess Reseach papers

Merry Meet friends

Sometimes writing essays can be really very difficult task. We may get confused in the thought that how we are supposed to include all the information of the deity while taking care that our essay looks good enough.
I made a template to help myself with this issue. To my surprise it is more helpful then I thought it would be, so I made a decision to share it with you guys.

This is wonderful! I've never seen one and never thought to make one myself. This has some areas that I don't usually think of to include. Thanks for posting!

Deity Name


1st paragraph:
 A brief introduction on epithets.


 Pantheon to which they belong

 Who are they? Why are they called what they are called? (Parentage, Powers, Dominion over?)

 Patron/ matron of?

 Manifests as? (How the deity is portrayed in the pictures?; Is he a triple deity?; a crone and so on)


2nd Paragraph:
 Some family background

 Some myths related to the deity (This can be quite long and need to be written in multiple paragraphs in some cases)


3rd Paragraph:
 For what they may be petitioned? Offerings?


 Any festivals related to them?

 Their attributes

 Their other correspondences like animals and plants. And why they are related to the god/goddess?
