Direct linking

Hello,

I'm having trouble creating a direct link. Ive followed the instructions on how to do so but the additional window to create the link never pops up. Am I doing something wrong or is there some kind of update that wasn't published? Also, I dont use Internet Explorer, I use Chrome or Edge.

Edge is actually the new name and design for an updated Internet Explorer so I suspect it probably has the same issues. First, make sure you have selected the text to be linked and that it is displaying as highlighted. You can't create a link without doing this. Also, there are a couple of other things you can try. First, click the down arrow by your name on the school site and pick preferences. Then find the link that says Editor Preferences and make sure that's marked default. Next, you can check your site settings under chrome settings and make sure that you don't have pop-ups blocked on the school site. You may need to add the site address under allowed.
